Are you located in London? Does your business create rigid plastic waste that needs recycling? If so, then we would like to work with you to ensure the best environmental and economical outcome for your business.
What do we do?
Aylesbury Granulation Services take in segregated rigid plastic waste. Unlike many waste management businesses, we are the actual reprocessor of the plastic, rather than a broker.
We buy waste plastic and recycle it for use back in plastic manufacturing.
Material comes in to us and we then run it through our granulator, at a rate of around one tonne per hour. The finished product is a 10mm regrind which can be fed back into plastic moulding machines to make new products with a recycled content.
London Plastic Recycling
We are situated just 30 miles out of London with great links from the M40. We work with a number of London manufacturers, co-packers and MRFs to help them recycle their waste plastic. Please contact us if you would like to see whether we can help you too.
What Plastic can be recycled?
We take in a range of plastic for recycling – but it must be separated. That way we can ensure that 100% of what we take in can be used back in plastic manufacturing.
End-of-life examples include buckets, barrels, bins, drums, jerry cans, crates, totes, packaging and pallets. Ex-manufacture examples include sprues, manufacturing rejects, redundant stock and injection lump or extrusion lump.
What do you need to do?
The first thing to do is to contact us so that we can talk through your waste stream(s). We will ask for some pictures and an idea of tonnage. Don’t worry we are a small company, so we are more readily willing to buy smaller quantities.
You may need to look at your waste plastic in order to find the recycling logo on it. For example, PP has the number 2 in the recycling logo and HDPE has number 5. These are the most common types of plastic. We do also recycle other polymers including (but not restricted to) APET, PS (polystyrene), ABS and PC (polycarbonate).
Do we work with any type of company?
Yes, we do. We are happy to work directly with factories creating waste, but we are equally happy to work with waste management companies to maximise the value that they can generate for their industrial clients. We work with quite a few firms who specialise in board and films (cardboard and LDPE) but need a home for their rigid plastics.
The key is that the plastic is rigid, contaminate free and segregated by polymer type.
